The San Bernardino Valley Water Conservation District was established by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors in 1932. The District was created to recharge the groundwater basin to conserve that water for future use. In the beginning, most of the water was primarily used by agriculture; today this water is used for municipal, commercial, and industrial purposes.
