The City of Aspen is pleased to offer the next QWEL course September 22-24, 2026 in Aspen, Colorado. This class is designed for local landscape professionals, resort and grounds staff, water utility staff, and other municipal staff involved in water or irrigation management working in the Roaring Fork Valley.

REGISTRATION: There are TWO steps to register for this class.

MATERIALS: An electronic version of the Aspen QWEL Manual is available for download on the QWEL website. A hardcopy of the book will be provided at the start of the course. Everything you need for the irrigation audit will be provided. Lunch will be provided on all three days. Please bring your refillable water bottle, note paper, pen, and a calculator (smartphones are allowed, provided you only use the calculator feature during the exam). The class includes an irrigation audit and exam, both of which are required to earn the QWEL professional certification. Please arrive on time, prepared, and plan to attend the full course.
QWEL graduates are certified to perform third party irrigation audits as specified by the City of Aspen's Water Efficient Landscaping Standards and will be listed for hire on the City of Aspen, QWEL, and EPA WaterSense websites.
