QWEL (English) - Aspen, CO

The City of Aspen is pleased to offer the next QWEL course September 23-25, 2025 in Aspen, Colorado. This class is designed for local landscape professionals, resort and grounds staff, water utility staff, and other municipal staff involved in water or irrigation management working in the Roaring Fork Valley. 

COST: $50.00

REGISTRATION: There are TWO steps to register for this class.

1. Click the button “Register for this Class” below. Follow the prompts to register for your personal QWEL account first (account username, create a password). Next, register for this specific class. Please keep your login credentials for future use (downloading certificate, entering CEUs, QWEL Pro status).

2. Make your payment after you register for your QWEL account and this training. Please pay for your registration on Stripe by clicking HERE. With a limited number of seats, payment must received no later than 5pm on Thursday September 18, or your seat cannot be guaranteed.

LOCATION: Aspen City Hall, Pearl Pass Conference Room 3rd Floor (427 Rio Grande Pl. Aspen, CO 81611)

MATERIALS: The reference manual PDF can be viewed HERE. A hardcopy of the book will be provided at the start of the course. Everything you need for the irrigation audit will be provided. Lunch will be provided on all three days. Please bring your refillable water bottle, note paper, pen, and a calculator (smartphones are allowed, provided you only use the calculator feature during the exam). The class includes an irrigation audit and exam, both of which are required to earn the QWEL professional certification. Please arrive on time, prepared, and plan to attend the full course.

QWEL graduates are certified to perform third party irrigation audits as specified by the City of Aspen's Water Efficient Landscaping Standards and will be listed for hire on the City of Aspen, QWEL, and EPA WaterSense websites.
