This Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper (QWEL) training is sponsored by High Country Conservation Center and Eagle River Water and Sanitation District and registration is FREE for local landscape professionals, resort and grounds staff, water utility staff, and other municipal staff involved in water or irrigation management working in Eagle County or Summit County.
Course curriculum will be taught by Irrigation Analysis. By registering for this class, you agree to attend all sessions listed below. To earn the QWEL certification, participants must complete a hands-on irrigation audit and pass the QWEL exam.
The curriculum includes the following sections:
MATERIALS: All training materials, including supplies for the irrigation audit, will be provided. Lunch will also be provided on all three days. Please be sure to bring your own refillable water bottle, notepaper, pen, and a calculator (smartphones are allowed, provided you only use the calculator feature during the exam).
COVID Considerations: Please stay home if you are feeling ill. We will be adhering to all relevant COVID mandates. Please use hand sanitizer provided, appropriately social distance, and wear a mask while inside the classroom.
This class is designed for landscape professionals, resort and grounds staff, water utility staff, and other municipal staff involved with water or irrigation management working in Summit or Eagle County. Please contact Victoria Arling (va@waternow.org) if you would like to attend and do not work in the region. The course will be capped at 40 registrants on a first come first serve basis.
